Remote Access Scams

Some scammers ring up out of the blue claiming that they are from Microsoft, Telstra, NBN etc. They state that they want to remotely connect to your computer to ‘remove’ a virus.

If you encounter this, just hang up. If you are concerned, phone the company on their publicly listed customer service number.
